Admission

Students are eligible for admission to TEAK in the fall of their sixth grade year.  Please refer to the eligibility requirements below to see if you qualify for admission to TEAK.  If you do, please fill out the Admission Info Request Form.  Through a comprehensive process that begins every fall, applicants participate in several rounds of screening that include a financial assessment, diagnostic tests, a written application, and interviews. TEAK Fellowships are awarded based on both academic merit and financial need. If you will be in the 6th grade during the 2014-2015 school year and you would like additional information on how to apply to TEAK, please call the TEAK Admission Inquiry line at (212) 288-6678 x190. Pathway from TEAK Admission to College

Once a student is accepted to TEAK, programming begins the summer after 6th grade and continues with intensive after-school and Saturday classes during the 7th grade year.  Students then participate in the Summer Institute following the 7th and 8th grade school years, and begin the High School Placement process by attending after-school and Saturday activities during the 8th grade school year. Students enter the High School Program and continue their Fellowship until they go to college.  TEAK’s Alumni Program, including a Career Center, is a resource for students during college and beyond.
